Emeritus Professor Mieke van Driel's research focuses on translation and implementation of evidence into clinical practice. She has experience with both quantitative and qualitative research designs and has conducted and participated in several (complex) clinical trials (RCTs). She has a strong track record in systematic reviews and research methodology. Her work covers three domains important to implementing evidence in day-to-day clinical practice: medical, contextual and policy evidence. She has specific expertise in antimicrobial use and stewardship in primary care but have worked across a range of clinical areas, including chronic diseases and diagnostics. During her career, she has participated as an investigator in grants amounting to a total of over $8.8 million.
