Professor Shu-Kay Ng

Professor Shu-Kay Angus Ng is a senior biostatistician at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, Griffith University. He has established a solid international profile and demonstrated research leadership in his broad areas of expertise in the fields of statistical inference and cluster analysis, particularly in mixture models, the EM algorithm, and random-effects modelling. He has taken a leading role in statistics in interdisciplinary research projects funded by ARC, MRFF, and NHMRC as well as clinical trials, consultancy contracts and evaluations commissioned by government departments and medical/health industries. His work has greatly impacted the field of statistics, including contributions in top journals specialised in biomedical research, and other multidisciplinary fields through improving evidence-based practice and decision making for addressing knowledge gaps in important medical and health issues.
